Mr. Riisager holds a master's degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and has studied Mergers, Acquisitions and Investments at the Business School of Copenhagen (Denmark) and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (United States).

He has more than 15 years of experience of business development experience, across both in- and out-licensing. He has led significant operations to acquire both products and companies. He has held various positions in the field of global business development, mergers and acquisitions and portfolio management. Prior to his arrival at ESTEVE, he was Vice-President and Head of Global Business Development and Strategy at Lundbeck in Denmark.

He has been Chief Corporate Strategy & Business Development Officer at ESTEVE since April 2019.
