ESTEVE RECEIVES THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COMMISSION OF THE LABOUR RELATIONS COUNCIL OF CATALONIA AT ITS MARTORELLES PLANT

The aim of the visit has been to get to know first-hand the different activities and projects promoted and applied by the company in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility, where it's a benchmark for other Catalan firms.

Every year the Social Responsibility Commission of the Labour Relations Council visits Catalan companies that are outstanding for their CSR initiatives. This is the case of ESTEVE, chosen for its commitment to a series of values and behaviours and for going beyond a mere declaration of intent, something which has made it an example for other firms implementing responsible management.

ESTEVE's CSR Master Plan 2011-2015 is one of its key tools to encourage dialogue with its stakeholders and respond transparently to their concerns. It's also the only Spanish company whose Sustainability Report has received, for the eighth consecutive year, an "A+" rating by the Global Reporting Initiative. Thanks to this, it's included in the good practices database on the RScat portal and has been chosen by all the Commission's members as a benchmark for social responsibility policy.

During the visit, Mireia Marimon, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at ESTEVE, and Francesc Basacoma, Director of Operations, explained to the Commission members the company's commitment to CSR policies, which incorporate its corporate mission and values as well as social and environmental aspects.

The delegation from the Social Responsibility Commission included representatives from the Catalan government, from leading trade union organisations (CCOO and UGT), business organisations (FOMENT, PIMEC and FEPIME) and also from the Council of Economic and Social Work of Catalonia (CTESC).
