Daniel Girona earned his law degree from the University of Barcelona and a Master's degree in Business Law from Pompeu Fabra University (Spain).

After practicing law at the Faus & Moliner firm, he transitioned to Novartis, where he served as an in-house lawyer for more than 12 years, taking on various responsibilities. Initially, he was part of the legal team in the Innovative Medicines Division, and later he served as the Legal and Compliance Director of Sandoz in Spain, a subsidiary specializing in generics and biosimilars medicines.

In 2013, Girona joined ESTEVE as the Legal Director, eventually rising to the position of General Counsel in 2018. In 2024, he further advanced his career by joining the Executive Management team as the Chief Legal Officer.
