Mrs. Gil-Vernet holds a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona (Spain). She complemented her training with management improvement programs, including the General Management program at IESE (Barcelona, Spain), the Advanced Management Program at ESADE (Barcelona, Spain), and a Global Growth Strategy program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Penn).

She started her career at Ernst & Young (Financial Statement Audits), and in 1995 joined ESTEVE, where she led the Analytical Accounting and Internal Corporate Development units of the Group's subsidiary, Esteve Química. She also managed eBusiness and Sustainability (Risk Management, Environment Health & Safety and Corporate Social Responsibility) at the corporate level. She is a member of the Boards of Directors and Audit Committees of ESTEVE and ISDIN.
