Mr. Freixes graduated in Law from the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona (Spain) and earned a master's degree in Corporate Law from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (Spain).

He started his career in 1995 as a practicing lawyer at Cuatrecasas in Barcelona (Spain), where he became a partner in 2005. He moved to London in 2007 to become a Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist at Deephaven Capital Management International Ltd., and from 2009 to 2017 he was Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of the alternative investment platform, Tyrus Capital.

Mr. Freixes is currently Chairman of the Supervisory Board and member of the Remuneration, Selection and Appointments Committee of the credit insurance company Atradius NV. He is also Founder and Managing Director of the FCA regulated corporate finance and M&A adviser, Ashtree Strategic Advisors Ltd.
